Tribe Time!

Ok I know it’s early in the season, no one expects anything out of the Tribe and the roster has plenty of "potential". I admit I have let my knowledge and following of the Indians slip lately so my opinion may be without merit since I haven't seen many games.

Which brings me to today...I get home, get relaxed, stuff my face with mozzarella sticks AND marinara sauce only to see my Indians losing to the tigers again. I understand yesterday’s game had its challenges due to an extra inning game in Chicago and late travel to Detroit. I forgive that loss. But today, with ample rest, they lost again...and had 3 hits. 3 hits. 3 lousy hits. So I get to thinking that Detroit must have had Roy Halladay or CC Sabathia pitching...right? Oh wait no; it was Jeremy Bonderman, probably wearing those goofy rec specs, and three relievers I never even heard of. 3 hits and a loss to the armpit of America, Detroit was well deserved with that poor showing.

Kudos for only losing by 2 runs though, Talbot, whoever that is, walked 5 batters but gave up only earned runs which is surprising to say the least. Good luck doing that for the rest of the season.

I looked at the box score, saw Cabrera leading off, with Sizemore, Choo and Hafner following. I cracked a smile; until I saw the rest of the cluster you know what that follows. As potential laden as this lineup appears to be, surely they can manage more than 3 hits from a B level starter at best.

Yes it’s early and teams can overcome a lot later on in the season. However I have a feeling that if these guys don't get it together in the first month its going to be an insert random "Major League" buffoonery quote here season. If you don't know what I am talking about, we are no longer friends until to you go rent this classic movie.

Well Tribe I leave it up to you. Starting out 2-3 isn't terrible, but a 40% win percentage won’t quite get it done. If any of you need any tips on hitting, you know hitting the ball, the thing that the guy on the mound throws by you, let me know and I'll be glad to help you out. I am an All-star, get used to it.
